Google API Services and User Data Policy

1. Affirmative Statement of Compliance
TalkToCalendar's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Our use of data obtained through Google Workspace APIs complies with the “Limited use of user data” requirement as outlined in the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy.
2. Data We Access and How We Use It
To provide our AI-powered scheduling services, we request access to your Google Calendar data. This access is limited to the minimum necessary permissions required to deliver our service. Specifically, we use this data to:
- Check your calendar for availability to prevent scheduling conflicts.
- Schedule new appointments on your behalf as requested by you or your clients through our service.
- Display your upcoming appointments within the TalkToCalendar application.
The use of your Google Calendar data is strictly limited to providing and improving these user-facing scheduling features.
3. Prohibited Uses of Your Data
We do not use your Google Calendar data for any purpose other than providing our scheduling service. This means we strictly prohibit:
- Transferring or selling your data to third parties, such as advertising platforms or data brokers.
- Using your data for serving advertisements, including personalized or interest-based ads.
- Using your data to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
- Using your data to train or improve any general-purpose machine learning or artificial intelligence models.
4. Data Transfers
We do not transfer your Google Calendar data to any third party, with the following limited exceptions:
- When necessary for security purposes, such as investigating potential abuse.
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or valid legal processes.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will obtain your explicit prior consent before any transfer occurs.
5. Human Access to Data
We do not allow our employees or any other individuals to read your Google Calendar data, except in the following specific circumstances:
- When we have obtained your explicit and documented consent to access specific data for support purposes (e.g., to help you resolve an issue with our service).
- When the data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations, in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
- When necessary for security purposes, such as investigating potential abuse.
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
6. Security
We are committed to maintaining a secure operating environment. We take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect all data derived from Google APIs against unauthorized or unlawful access, use, destruction, loss, alteration, or disclosure. This includes encrypting data both in transit and at rest.
